Hello. I'm back from genting (:
The temasek wind ensemble went to genting for an international competition. They came back with a gold (:
Well, we couldn't believe it. At least I couldn't believe it. I thought we were going to get a bronze.. not a gold at all. I dont know what happened. Anyway(: yay! we got a gold!
Genting is so cold, omg, its so nice. You can just wear a jacket, and not sweat at all. Its just a hassle to bathe and to warm the bed. Its so ma fan la.
We did lots of shopping (: i was left with 2.90RM. hoho. Anyway, i really enjoyed the trip. Its nice being on a trip with the band, minus the few wallets that went missing.
Also, during the trip, we had 3 concerts : the opening ceremoney, friendship concert, and the closing ceremony.
I have NO IDEA WHY there were so many Chinese Orchestra performances. Not many of us know how to appreciate it, i can tell, cos almost everyone was talking away, or they just left half way (includ other school de la). Its rude, but hey, we can't take it anymore. lol. Only the closing ceremony's CO was gooooooood (: i liked that one a lot (:
We played for the closing ceremony((((((((:
The best part was when they were announcing the results. They started with the bronze, then they went on to the silvers, then the golds. Of cos we thought that we would be gold, cos the bronze and silvers were already announced, and most of us were already screaming in joy.
But then, they suddenly went back to the silver/bronze( i really cant rmb). Then we were shocked and worried. lol. but we got gold in e end and everybody went crazy/mad. We were screaming, taking photos, yelling, while they were still announcing the results for the COs and Dance. haha. rude again. but.. haha. (: we're happy!
Many things happened during the genting trip.((:
I hope the band members take this trip as a learning experience. They seemed to have really taken zat's words seriously. (:
And ya, sherina and nicholas, please take care of your health. Syahida, dont go on diets. (:
oooooh ya. the bus ride was so longgg. 5 minutes seemed like 15 minutes.... 30 minutes seemed like 60 minutes.
On the trip back, walao, we had to go down the mountain, so the bus actually had to make a lot of turns. I swear i almost puked.. Someone please bless those motion sickness pills.
Anw, i'm glad to be back home in singapore (:
Yesterday was my erjie's birthday plus my cousin's wedding. My family stayed at orchard hotel for the night and we shopped quite a bit. Omg, the hotel room was gorgeous, compared to genting's. First world hotel rooms are so tiny and small! but still nice la(:
The wedding dinner was fine, i found the food quite nice, but most ppl said it wasn't that great. However the dishes were mostly seafood (yum), so i kinda got itches.
Today, i bought a doll (: i dont know, the doll looked so cute, and sweet, so i bought it. (: she's just the prettiest doll ever. (:
I feel girly. oh well. I better start doing my homework.
